Countdown!!

We are anxiously awaiting your arrival- it could be weeks or maybe just days, who knows, but we are getting everything ready and your Ya Ya has packed her bags, ready at any minute.  Your Daddy has been hard at work fixing up your nursery, complete with new crown molding, banana pudding walls and the prettiest chandelier ever!  I have been hard at work sewing your curtains- a task that is a labor of love, my little girl.  I am not a great seamstress, so we will just enjoy the beautiful curtains from a few steps back and not inspect too closely.

Your Daddy also rescued the dresser he used as a little boy from your Uncle Mark's school bus (aka Turner storage unit) thanks to your Aunt Dana's sharp eye.  She spotted it in the bus and knew it would be perfect for you.  Your Daddy has been hard at work sanding it down and painting it and finding little treasures from the Turner boys that used the dresser over the decades (a Boy Scout box, belt clip, a bee bee pellet and an old tag from a pair of little boy Wrangler jeans).  You will understand this more later, but your Daddy loves a treasure hunt and finding lost articles from his youth- He brought me each treasure with a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face.  His pack-rat ways will be the reason that he will store away every birthday card we give you and why you will probably have a bag full of every baby tooth we pulled out of your head as a keepsake.  This is why we love him.

Your Daddy can't wait to meet you and has loved putting your girly room together.  He rubs my belly everyday and talks to you.  Last night he put your crib together- how pretty.

As you can see, the belly has grown quite a bit- all in an effort to give you as much room as you need, my pretty girl.  Well, also because your Mommy loves sweets!  We go next week and get to "make a picture of you" as your Daddy says and hopefully get an idea of how big you have grown.  You are head down and ready to go.  Your Daddy has been concerned that you are dangling upside down, but I assured him that it is all part of God's perfect plan.  We are so blessed to be chosen as your parents!

Love Mom and Dad
