Life Lately...

Life has been full of potty training, playdates, family visits, no preschool and lots of sister bonding.  Since we had about 4 weeks between summer play days and a new year of BYCS, I decided that was the perfect time to try our hand at potty training Eleanor.

Oh how I had dreaded this, but I was willing to go all in and see how it went.  To celebrate this decision, I took Eleanor for donuts and chocolate milk one Saturday morning and then we went to Target and picked out lots of new big girl panties, treats, toddler potties, cleaning supplies, etc.  I was ready for battle, but I wanted to wait until she at least had peeded in the toilet to make sure she knew what I was talking about.  Well, I didn't have to wait long.  Monday morning she peed and we were off.  We had a huge celebration, an M&M and put on our prettiest princess panties.  The next few days we stayed home and spent a lot of time in the bathroom reading books, playing dolls, watching movies, nursing Celia Rose, etc.  But Eleanor put in the time and learned to go potty and by the end of the week, she was even telling us when she had to go.  She did great!

We have enjoyed the last few weeks, but I think everyone is ready to return to preschool.  Here are some pictures of Celia Rose- oh how you have grown!!!

Beach Trip

Well, we made the brave decision to travel to the beach this year with a 4 month old.  The drive went surprisingly well (b/c we drove during the night) with no crying or meltdowns, but Mommy and Daddy were pretty tired when we arrived.  The beach house was beautiful, the beach was gorgeous and we loved having the pool just two houses down.  We went on walks, played in the pool, napped and had a great time with family.  Celia was just as sweet as ever and Eleanor had a blast with all of her cousins.  Here are some highlights...

Minnie Mouse Birthday

Before we brought Celia home, we had a Minnie Mouse birthday party for Eleanor.  We had a celebration dinner with our good friends Lorri and Jeff on her actual birthday and then a playdate party with all of her friends the week after.  I was about 4 weeks from my delivery, so it was exhausting, but I loved decorating, cooking and making a special party for our sweet Eleanor.  Here are the highlights...
