First, you turned 6 months, then you turned 7 months! You are growing so fast! With 6 months came so many new things: sitting up in the shopping cart, sitting up in a high chair, eating baby food and wearing hair bows! Let me just say, you have LOVED eating food. It didn't take long for you to figure out that you love all foods- sweet potatoes, squash, peas, carrots, peaches, yogurt, and all fruits. We have also started blending up our food and so far you have loved macaroni and cheese, broccoli and mashed potatoes.
You have also loved scooting around and playing on the floor (you are so close to crawling)! Daddy sits on the floor and tries to coax you into crawling to him- you are almost there. You get up on your hands and knees and rock back and forth, but then fall forward on your head. You will get it, my little butterbean.
Boy, do you love your Daddy. You are all smiles when he walks in the door and you always grab the pen out of his shirt pocket and chew on it with all the joy you can muster. You smile and look around, just knowing that your Daddy comes home with a "toy" for you in his pocket each and every day. I am sure the day will come when a pen won't give you so much joy, but for now, it is your bliss.
You love sitting on the floor and pulling over your toy basket and squealing with delight as you pull out each toy, shake it and chew it. You are mildly ammused with the toys we buy at the store, but you really love anything Mommy gives you from the kitchen- metal measuring cup, wooden spoon, cups, etc. You love sitting in your high chair watching Mommy cook and banging your toys on your tray.
We have also started going to music class on Mondays. At first you were a little timid, but you have warmed up to the other kids and love reaching out for them, giggling and waving your arms. You are the youngest one there and you are fascinated with the other kids and how they walk around the room. I think you will be able to show off your crawling very soon. We have also started going to BSF (bible study) on Wednesday mornings and you love the sweet ladies who rock you, play with you and sing you sweet hymns. All of that to say- you like people now!!!! Yeah!!! Daddy and I are so relieved!!! You ohh and ahh when people hold you now and you aren't red and splotchy faced when we pick you up at the nursery anymore! We knew you would come around baby girl and we are so proud!!!
Finally, you are fully sleep trained and you go to sleep on your own! Sometimes you cry for a few minutes, but you roll over and fall asleep. We are so glad you feel so safe and secure in your own bed and that you are so well rested. It makes me smile everytime I go in to get you, knowing that you have rested well and are ready to play.

You love to play in your play pen, but it is so cute when you press your faces against the mesh.
