Eleanor Claire Turner

You have a name!  You are 24 weeks along and you have a great name, Eleanor Claire Turner.  Claire is after your Great Grandmother, Clara Mae, who is the sweetest most lovely person I know.  So, you have a great start in life with a strong name.

I went to Chattanooga this weekend to pick out your nursery fabric with your Aunt Misty (you will meet her very soon and will learn that she is the reason you will have lovely knitted hats, booties and sweaters in your life).  I also wanted to catch Graham's last football game of the regular season and see Vada Jane cheer.  Vada Jane was so excited to learn your name and she talked to you all weekend.  You can see in the picture below, she rarely left my side and wanted to know what you were doing at any moment.  She loves you already!!

Graham was Grambo the terminator and rocked on the football field.  It was a crisp Fall day and so much fun to watch him play- not to mention they skunked the other team 27 to zip- no mercy.

Don't mess with Grambo

Not to forget your Uncle Duncan, he was there carrying stuff as always and making yummy meals for everyone.  He made me fabulous gravy for breakfast and his world famous pimento cheese.  You will soon learn that his chest is where all babies go to sleep and he trims delicate baby nails with incredible precision.  He can't wait to meet you!

Grandpa and Ya Ya were there too- you will learn that they are the greatest grandparents a little girl could want.  They were in the ultra-sound room with us when we learned that you were a girl (I knew it all along), but the ultra-sound tech confirmed if for me.  Here you are...  So beautiful and perfect in every way.

We can't wait to meet you and dress you up in all of the precious pink things we have!  You are very loved, little girl!

  1. Well I do declare that you have forgetten to metion the most important of Aunts...Aunt B. She is the one that will play with you for hours at the beach and will introduce you to the world of animals so that you may one day beg your parents for a dog like Waylon. Also, she is a bit of a rock star when she comes in town.
